The Bedford 20-5105 is a direct-fit replacement for the Graco 24R168 v-packing repair kit used in the Merkur LW100A 100cc displacement pump. It supplies the throat and piston v-packings on their own, without the glands, o-rings and springs carried in the full seal repair kit.

This is the kit to order when the packings are worn but the rest of the wet end still measures good, which is the usual case on a pump serviced on schedule rather than run to failure. A pump that has sat for a long period or run heavily abrasive material generally needs the full seal repair kit instead. The LW100A is rated to 3600 psi.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Fluid weeping past the throat while the pump is stalled under pressure
  • Pressure dropping off on one half of the stroke with the check balls still seating cleanly
  • Material creeping up the displacement rod and into the wet cup
  • Packings found flattened, glazed or split at a scheduled service
