What is a hose?

A hose is a flexible tube used to carry fluids from one location to another. Hoses can be used to transport liquids, gases, or sometimes solids. They are often made of plastic or rubber.  

Hoses are also sometimes called pipes, but the word pipe usually refers to a rigid tube. The shape of a hose is usually cylindrical. Hoses are used in many applications throughout many industries.

What types of hoses does Bedford offer?

1. Low Pressure Bulk Hose

• Air Hose: Red Cover; Max working pressure: 250 PSI; Max 3 pieces per Reel (random lengths); Full reel: 600' - 750'.
• Fluid Hose: Black neoprene cover; Nylon inner tube; Max working pressure: 750 PSI; Max 3 pieces per reel (random lengths); Temperature range: -40°F to +190°F; Full reels: 600' - 750'.

• Non-making cover; Heavy duty bend restrictors; Rated for intermittent use up to 250°F; 3/8" ID rubber tube / Wire braided.

5. Airless Hose Assemblies

Airless hose assemblies are conductive for static grounding and are 100% inspected for conductivity.

Synthetic braid gives hose accumulator effect to prevent damage to pumps. Hose has a blue abrasion resistant polyurethane cover and a nylon tube. Temperature range: 0°F to + 180°F.

• 3/16" Airless Hose Assemblies - 3500 PSI working pressure (Supplied with fittings, and spring guards on both ends.)
• 1/4" Airless Hose Assemblies - 3300 PSI working pressure (Suppied with 1/4" NPS female fittings, and spring guards on both ends.)
•  3/8" Airless Hose Assemblies* - 3300 PSI working pressure (Suppied with 3/8" NPS female fittings, and spring guards on both ends.)
