Tips

Airless paint sprayer tips control fan width and orifice size, determining how paint is applied and how much material flows per stroke.

Bedford Precision offers professional-grade spray tips compatible with Graco RAC X, Graco RAC 5, and Titan SC-6 equipment — engineered to the same performance standard at a fraction of OEM pricing. Shop by family: standard, fine finish, fine finish low pressure, high pressure, large barrel, and line striper tips — or use the options below to find the correct tip by size, type, or sprayer model.

Not sure which size to run? Our airless spray tip size chart matches orifice and fan width to latex paint, stain, and oil-based enamel.

Bedford Precision has manufactured aftermarket spray equipment parts for over 59 years. Every Bedford airless spray tip is engineered to match OEM spray width, orifice, and flow specs.

  • Priced below OEM — Graco paint sprayer tips need replacing every 50–100 gallons; Bedford cuts that recurring cost significantly
  • Drop-in fit — works with your existing RAC X or RAC 5 guard, no adapters needed
  • Multi-pack options — 3-packs and 10-packs for the sizes you use most
  • Same-day shipping on in-stock items (orders placed M–F before 3pm EST)

Compatible Graco Tip Guard Systems

Your tip guard determines which tips fit your sprayer:

  • RAC 5 / Titan SC-6 (Standard Barrel) — Orange guard. Accepts standard, fine finish, and line striper tips.
  • RAC X (Large Barrel) — Blue guard, 7/8” G thread. 50% longer tip life. Accepts large barrel and Fine Finish Low Pressure tips.
  • XHD (Heavy-Duty) — Gray guard, rated to 7,250 PSI. Required for high pressure tips.

Each product listing specifies guard compatibility. Always confirm your guard type before ordering.

Airless Spray Tip FAQ

What size spray tip should I use for latex paint?

A 515 or 517 covers most interior latex work — a 10" fan with a .015"–.017" orifice. Step up to a 519 or 621 for exterior latex and heavier coatings, and down to .010"–.013" orifices for stains and lacquers. The full breakdown is in our spray tip size chart.

When should I replace a spray tip?

Spray tips wear with every gallon: the orifice slowly opens and the fan narrows, so you put more paint on a smaller area and lose your finish quality. If your 10" fan is spraying 7–8", coverage looks heavy, or you keep raising pressure to hold the pattern, the tip is worn. Most crews get 50–100 gallons per tip depending on material.

What's the difference between Fine Finish and Fine Finish Low Pressure tips?

They're two different tip lines for different guards. Fine finish tips fit RAC 5 / SC-6 standard-barrel guards and atomize finer than standard tips for cabinets, trim, and doors. Fine finish low pressure tips fit RAC X large-barrel guards and are designed to spray at roughly half the normal pressure — finer finishes with less overspray. Check which guard your gun runs, then pick the line that fits it.

Will Bedford tips fit my Graco or Titan tip guard?

Yes — Bedford reversible tips are made to fit the guard systems contractors already run: RAC 5 and Titan SC-6 standard-barrel guards, RAC X large-barrel guards, and XHD-style high-pressure guards. The guard guide above shows which tip families each guard accepts, and every product page states its guard compatibility.

Are these reversible tips?

Yes. Bedford spray tips are reversible — when the tip clogs mid-job, rotate it 180°, trigger briefly to blow the clog out, and rotate back. No tools, no teardown, no lost production time.
