The Bedford 18-3550 is a compatible replacement for Graco part 18209, a retainer for Graco spray equipment. Retaining rings snap into a machined groove and give components a hard axial stop — they are what keeps valve internals and pins from walking out of their bores under vibration.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Renewed whenever the assembly is opened — they are one-use parts in practice
  • Ring sprung or distorted during a previous removal
  • Corrosion weakening the ring's grip in its groove
  • Components shifting axially in their bore
