The Bedford 18-532 is a compatible replacement for Binks part 41-12715, a male adapter for Binks spray equipment. The male adapter sits at the end of the packing set in the pump's fluid section, seating the packings squarely so they seal against the piston rod and cylinder wall. Worn adapters let the stack shift, and no amount of packing-nut tightening will hold pressure once that happens.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Renewed with the packing set during a fluid-section repack
  • Fluid bypassing a packing stack that no longer sits square
  • Pressure loss that new packings alone do not cure
  • Wear or corrosion on the adapter's seating face
