The Bedford 55-2506 is a compatible replacement for Kremlin part 102-202-101 — the retaining rings used in Kremlin spray equipment. Retaining rings snap into a machined groove and give components a hard axial stop — they are what keeps valve internals and pins from walking out of their bores under vibration. Sold as a 10-pack, so spares stay in the service kit.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Corrosion weakening the ring's grip in its groove
  • Components shifting axially in their bore
  • Renewed whenever the assembly is opened — they are one-use parts in practice
  • Ring sprung or distorted during a previous removal
