The Bedford 21-2840 is a compatible replacement for Titan part 21-2840 — the lower packing forming tool used in Titan spray equipment. Packings are the stacked seal rings that ride the piston rod in the pump's fluid section, containing working pressure while the rod cycles through them thousands of times an hour. They are the pump's primary wear item.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Pump cycling faster than normal to hold pressure
  • Scheduled repack on high-use equipment
  • Pressure loss from worn packing surfaces
  • Fluid climbing the rod or dripping from the throat area
