The Bedford 18-1129 is a compatible replacement for Binks part 41-9729 — the female adapter used in Binks spray equipment. The female adapter sits at the end of the packing set in the pump's fluid section, seating the packings squarely so they seal against the piston rod and cylinder wall. Worn adapters let the stack shift, and no amount of packing-nut tightening will hold pressure once that happens.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Renewed with the packing set during a fluid-section repack
  • Fluid bypassing a packing stack that no longer sits square
  • Pressure loss that new packings alone do not cure
