The Bedford 18-1301 is a compatible replacement for Graco parts 181338 and 181-338 — the backup washer used in Graco spray equipment. A backup washer sits behind a seal or O-ring and gives it a rigid shoulder, preventing the softer seal from extruding into the clearance gap under pressure. Compatible with Graco EM 590.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Renewed together with the seal it backs
  • Adjacent seal or O-ring failing early from extrusion
  • Visible deformation or cupping of the washer
  • Pressure weep past a seal the washer should support
