The Bedford 20-5189 is a direct-fit replacement for the Graco 24A254 seal repair kit used in the Merkur LW100A 100cc displacement pump, supplying the complete set of throat and piston v-packings, glands, o-rings and springs needed to rebuild the wet end after normal packing wear.

Finishing shops and industrial coating operations running Merkur air-assisted packages depend on this rebuild to hold consistent atomization pressure. Equipment service technicians keep the kit on the shelf so a pump can be resealed in-house during a scheduled shutdown rather than pulled and sent out.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Fluid weeping from the wet cup or past the throat area while the pump is stalled under pressure
  • Pressure that drops off on the downstroke, or will not hold when the gun trigger is released
  • Material working its way up the displacement rod and contaminating the wet cup oil
  • Scored, swollen or flattened v-packings found during a scheduled wet-end inspection
