The Bedford 19-1863 is a compatible replacement for Wagner/Amspray part 13055, a retaining ring for Wagner spray equipment. Retaining rings snap into a machined groove and give components a hard axial stop — they are what keeps valve internals and pins from walking out of their bores under vibration.
