The Bedford 9-1643 is a compatible replacement for Wagner/Amspray part 51799 — the ball used in Wagner spray equipment. This ball is the moving element of a check valve in the pump's fluid section: on each stroke it lifts off its seat to let coating through, then reseats to hold pressure. Compatible with Wagner 1000 SE, Wagner Blackbird, Wagner EP 2105, Wagner EP 2205, Wagner Formula I, Wagner Formula I SE and other compatible equipment.

Common reasons for replacement:

  • Fluid backflow from a ball that no longer seats cleanly
  • Pitting or scoring from abrasive coatings
  • Replaced together with its seat during a fluid-section rebuild
  • Sprayer loses prime or pressure as the ball wears out-of-round
